How long have you been in business?
My family opened Royal Billiard in 1982.
What is your primary product or service?
We offer home recreational products . . . pool tables, shuffleobards, hot tubs, bar stools, and bars are some of our biggest sellers.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
It's an interesting story. . . My parents were looking to move back to their native Kansas. While looking for businesses to buy or start in Kansas they ran into a billiard industry representative on the street outside of a billiard store. They got to talking and he suggested that they stay in Pa and open a new store. Other than playing the game recreationally, my parents had no formal background in the game room industry.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Unlike a larger chain store our focus is on customer service, most of customers become long-time friends and return for other purchases through a span of years. We are also able to do just about anything a customer wants - we work with many custom companies.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We only have our one location. In the 80s and 90s we had two other stores, one located outside of Princeton, NJ and one in the mainline area. It was not an easy decision to eliminate those locations but we really wanted to put all of our efforts into our main store.

Royal Billiard is located on Route 309 in Hatfield. We are approximately 5.5 miles north of the Montgomeryville Mall, about 1.5 miles north of Hilltown Plaza (where the Walmart is located) and we are directly across the street from Peruzi Toyota.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash, and local checks. We also generally offer financing terms.
Which areas do you service?
We mainly service Bucks and Montgomery counties . . . we do though often travel to the shore points and Pocono Mountains.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
We are family run . . . my Mom and I run all of the back end operations while my brother-in-law is in sales and my sister helps in the office. Along with the blood family are our Royal family members - Kent, our sales manager has been with us for almost twenty years and brothers Kyle and Sean run our service department. My father, who got the business off the ground, recently retired and is finally working to improve his golf game and home improvement skills! We are very fortunate to have such a great group!

Mon, Thurs, Fri 10-8 Tues & Wed 10-6 Saturday 10-6 Sunday 12-4
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The best is when we get a thank you for a FUN experience! Also, telling their family and friends about us is a HUGE compliment!
